Organisation Development workshop
Michael Young Building,
The Open University,
The Centre for Policing Research and Learning held a workshop on Organization Development. It took place on Thursday 03 August 2017 in Milton Keynes. Early booking was needed as places were limited and Centre members will had priority booking.
The workshop, with sessions from leading practitioners and academics, included two chief constables, aimed to explore key developments in workforce reform and workforce wellbeing, by drawing on research evidence about good and innovative practices, and also examining opportunities and challenges for the future. It will provoke further thinking and reflection for police agencies about approaches to organization development, drawing on both police examples and evidence from other sectors. It builds on work by the College of Policing Professional Community Chair on Organization Development (CC Andy Rhodes) and on the work of the Workforce Reform Framework (led by CC Francis Habgood and Dr Steven Chase).
All OU Centre for Policing Research and Learning partners are invited to this event. The workshop was likely to appeal to those involved in organizational development, workforce development, staff wellbeing, and digital innovation for organizational learning. The event appealed both to forces and to OPCCs. The workshop was free.
